Rob McCormack’s PhD Adult Basic Education as Practical Philosophy: An hermeneutic account

My PhD in which I try to connect Adult Basic Education with the long history of the philosophy of praxis using the philosophical hermeneutics of Hans-Georg Gadamer.

Philosophical Writing: Prefacing as professing

This is the (lengthy) Preface to my PhD, a preface which was published in Educational Philosophy and Theory, 40(7), 2008, and then reprinted in a book of articles on genre in philosophy. It is, deliberately, quite difficult and in places confronting to read.
